Everything you need to know before your Abu Dhabi stopover.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get my booking confirmation?

Instant email confirmation after payment. As soon as your card payment succeeds, the booking details land in your inbox. We then message you on WhatsApp to confirm your pickup point and guide.

Where do you pick me up?

At Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) after you clear passport control and customs. Your guide meets you in the arrivals hall and brings you back to departures in time for your onward flight.

Is a 2-hour layover enough to leave AUH?

No, not for a city tour. Clearing immigration, collecting bags if you need to, and getting back for check-in uses most of a 2-hour connection. Our shortest private tour is 2 hours of touring time and needs a comfortable total layover of about 5 hours or more as a guide. See our Abu Dhabi layover guide for 4 to 8 hours for what fits.

How long does my layover need to be?

As a guide, plan on about 5 hours or more for our shortest (2-hour) private tour: that covers immigration on arrival, the tour itself, and check-in for your next flight. Longer tours need a longer layover and a safe buffer. Pick a length that fits your flights — our hour-by-hour Abu Dhabi layover guide shows what you can see in 4 to 8 hours.

Is the Grand Mosque open on Friday?

Yes. On Fridays, visitor hours are typically 9:00 AM–11:30 AM and 2:30 PM–8:30 PM (closed for Friday prayer in between); other days are usually 9:00 AM–8:30 PM. Hours can change for Ramadan or Eid — check the official Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque visiting hours before you travel. We plan mosque visits around your flight and Friday timings.

Do I need a visa to leave the airport?

You must be allowed to enter the UAE to join the tour. Many nationalities get a visa on arrival or can apply for a transit visa through their airline. Please check your own visa rules before booking.

What is the price?

Prices are for the whole private tour: from $140 for 2 hours up to $460 for 10 hours for one traveller, plus $10 for each extra traveller (up to 6 in one vehicle). The total is shown before you pay; there are no hidden fees.

Are entry tickets included?

No. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is free to enter (reserve online), but tickets for the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan and Ferrari World are not included.

What should I wear?

Modest clothing covering arms and legs for the Grand Mosque. Women also need a headscarf. Comfortable shoes are best.

Is the tour private?

Yes. Only your group travels in the vehicle, and the route is planned around your flight times and interests.

Is the tour suitable for children and wheelchair users?

Yes. Children travel with an adult, infant seats are available on request, and the vehicle and main stops are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Tell us your needs when you book.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your pickup time, with a full refund. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Can I book a night tour?

Yes. The tour runs around your flight, day or night. The Grand Mosque is especially beautiful when lit up after dark; please check its visiting hours for your date.
